In seeing you today at the benefit show, it brought back memories when my wife, Monica, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003. We know how it feels when something unexpected comes in your life and you feel so helpless to put a stop to it. But one thing we do know is that in each and every one of us, we have the strength within ourselves that we can draw the courage to keep going and never give up. To keep the faith that anything is possible...that there's always hope no matter what tomorrow may bring...
You're blessed to have your family and friends beside you through these tryings times...Having them right there when you need them the most makes a big difference...I know first hand how hard it is for someone "looking in"...What helped me in a way was by creating a web site (www.thedreams.net) for my wife which I kept a journal of her path to recovery from Sept 2003 to Aug 2006...The love and support your family and friends extend to you is a blessing on itself...

My name is Robert Butler (brother of Mary Johnson). Sally (my wife) and I went to the Bar-B-Q today and enjoyed meeting many of your friends and family. You have a wonderful family and many friends who love you dearly and wish you a speedy and full recovery.
Regarding the Bar-B-Q, we went in the afternoon, before the rain. The food was great; the weather was cooling down (nice!); the company was terrific; everyone gawked at the classic cars on display; and you were very much on the minds of all.

Brandy, I think everyone should give one thing up that they enjoy doing when someone they know is sick. In my case I am going to try hard to give up smoking. I have never tried to, but now I am. I also will fast 12 hours one day a week until you get better. I will also continue to keep you in my prayers. That, I promise....
